Cooking with Ruthie: Holiday blondies in a jar

(KUTV) Ruthie joined us in the kitchen to share her holiday blondies in a jar recipe.

Ingredients:
1 clear jar
1 C flour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
½ tsp sea salt
¾ C brown sugar, packed
¾ C candy cane, crushed
? C white chocolate chips
Decorate:
red and white striped ribbon
tag
On the Side:
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
½ C butter, softened

Directions:
1.) Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in small bowl, mix to combine.
2.) Place flour mixture in the bottom of clear jar; tap to even out.
3.) Evenly sprinkle brown sugar over flour, press with spoon to level.
4.) Evenly sprinkle chocolate chips on top brown sugar.
5.) Then finish with crushed candy cane.
6.) Add ribbon and tag.
7.) Give to your loved ones with the 'On the Side' ingredients and directions:
8.) Preheat oven 350 degrees.
9.) Place all ingredients from jar into mixing bowl, add butter.
10.) Cream together, add vanilla and egg; mix until incorporated.
11.) Coat with cooking spray 9x13 baking pan.
12.) Evenly press blondie mix into pan.
13.) Bake 20-25 minutes and allow to cool before serving.
