(KUTV) It’s a slow week headlined by the release of Danny Boyle’s psychological thriller Trance starring James McAvoy as a fine art auctioneer with a serious memory issues. McAvoy also stars along with Mark Strong in the British action thriller Welcome to the Punch.
Those in search of a romantic drama have IFC’s Love and Honor. The film stars Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) as a soldier that goes AWOL to help a fellow soldier to win back his girlfriend and unexpectedly falls in love with a intelligent young woman (Warm Bodies’ Teresa Palmer) in the process.
Also this week is the French-Canadian comedy Starbuck about a 42-year-old deadbeat who learns his frequent visits to a sperm donation center in his youth. The film is being remade as Delivery Man starring Vince Vaughn. I’m certain the original, which is hilarious, will be better.
Kids and parents that can’t wait to see How to Train Your Dragon 2 when it arrives theaters next summer have the two volumes of the Cartoon Network series Dragons: Riders of Berk to help tide them over.
Those wanting to have their own mini-Shark Week will want to track down the BBC’s documentaries Hammerhead and Great White Shark: A Living Legend.
