(KUTV) There are over forty muscles in your face and exercising them is a natural way to make your face look younger, says Jeffrey Beck, exercise specialist at the Intermountain Medical Center Heart Institute in Murray.

Exercises can also help decrease eye strain, release facial tension and reduce wrinkles, he said. Beck recommends that you complete the following exercise routine several times per week and uncover the fountain of youth!

1) Forehead Push: This exercise will help create smooth lines on your forehead. Place each of your palms on the sides of your forehead, bottom of each palm resting on your eyebrows. Using your palms to create resistance, raise your eyebrow muscles as if surprised and then lower them as if you are angry. Raise and lower 10 times. Complete 3 sets of 10 reps.

2) Pressure Smile: This exercise helps to work the muscles around your mouth. Make a full smile while using your fingers to hold it in place by putting pressure on each corner. Hold this position for 10 seconds. Close your lips halfway, using your fingers to resist the movement and hold for another 10 seconds. Return to starting position. This constitutes one repetition. Complete 3 sets of 5 reps.

3) OO-EE Mouth: This movement helps to exercise the lips and the muscles between your upper lip and nose. Open your mouth, then purse your lips together so that your teeth are separated and not showing. Say "OO", using an exaggerated movement to purse your lips together. Change sounds to "EE", using an exaggerated motion to stretch your lips. Do 10 reps between "OO" and "EE", repeating for 3 sets.
