Fresh Start to Fitness: Zombie Muscle-Toning Workout

It is the Halloween season once again, which means it is the perfect time to add some festivity to your workout, says Jeffrey Beck, exercise specialist from the Intemountain Medical Center Heart Institute in Murray. Beck recommends that you complete the following muscle-toning "zombie" routine to not only add variety to your existing exercise regimen, but also a little Halloween spirit!

1) Neck Rolls: Simply and slowly roll your forward and backward clockwise for 15 seconds. Then roll your head counter clockwise for 15 seconds. Rest for 30 seconds and repeat. Complete three sets.

2) High Knee Twist: Hold your arms straight out in front of you. Bring your right knee up and across your body while simultaneously lowering your arms down to the outside of your right leg. Return to starting position and repeat on the other side. Complete three sets of 10 reps per side.

3) Vertical Mountain Climbers: Reach for the sky with your right arm and raise your left leg. Then switch and reach your left arm to the sky while simultaneously raising your right leg. Alternate back and forth quickly for 30 seconds. Rest for 30 seconds and repeat. Complete three sets.
