(KUTV) Dean Howes, Major League Rugby commissioner, hopes the Utah Warriors will one day be just as beloved as the Utah Jazz or Real Salt Lake.

The team has some building to do.

"The grassroots development is really going to be on the Warriors organization," he said.

Howes believes the Warriors, and the other teams in the league around the country, will need to reach out to families to get youth involved in the sport.

"You have to go and show moms and dads that their 8-12 year old can play the sport, be safe in playing the sport, and it's a sport that will pay them back some dividends," Howes said.
