(KUTV) Janice Kapp Perry has filled about 70 albums over her career.
Because of her songwriting success, her family started a music engraving business.
"When I started to write music, I had to take it somewhere where they typed in the notes," Perry recalled.
Programs eventually progressed where someone could type in more than just one note at a time.
But eventually her husband got into the music engraving business to help her with her music.
"Our whole family's been involved," Perry said.
He did the engraving for about 25 years.
"He did all of our songbooks and everything. It was just a wonderful talent that he developed," she said.
With all that has happened in her career, she often looks back and thinks, "How did this happen?"
She has traveled to Chile, Japan, Taiwan, and more and has heard people singing her songs.
"I don't know how it happened," Perry said. My husband said it's like the Wizard of Oz. We were just kind of picked up and set on our path."
