(KUTV) Jorge Fierro came to Utah wanting to learn English.
He would attend an ESL program in the morning, and worked as a dishwasher at night.
He recalls coming home one night around one in the morning.
"I was homesick and that night I was making some bean and cheese burritos," he said. "I opened up a can of refried beans and I was sort of disgusted by it."
That's when he got the idea to sell good pinto beans at the Downtown Farmer's Market.
He had been to the market before, selling tortillas for a tortilla company.
