(KUTV) As you can imagine, technology has changed a lot since Rod Decker got into journalism.

"I've never learned to do technology well," he said.

He recalls getting a "buzzer" (a pager) when he started in TV.

"I couldn't get mine to work and it kept saying, 'low batt,' and I said, 'What is this low batt stuff?'" he recalled.

Turns out "low batt" meant "low battery."

"People laughed and laughed about that," he said.
