(KUTV) Steve Starks isn't just the president of the Utah Jazz. He also is a stake president in the LDS Church and a father.
Starks and his wife have three daughters.
"They're obviously close to their mom and I'm busy, but I always want them to know that they can come and talk to dad and that dad loves them and that I'm not this scary, imposing figure," said Starks as his role as a father.
Starks has been a stake president in the LDS Church for four-and-a-half years. He was a bishop before that.
Serving in and outside of church is something that is important to Starks and his family.
"One of the things we believe is that as we serve others, that we're blessed and our lives are more enriched," he said.
Starks' faith also brings him balance in other parts of his life.
"I'm always a better person on Monday morning after a Sunday where you're not thinking about yourself and I'm thinking about others and working with other people," Starks said.
