(KUTV) — The UCCU Center at Utah Valley University is booming with girl power.
Twelve-hundred girls are getting a firsthand lesson in science, technology, engineering and math for SHETech. The event pairs high school girls with some of Utah's biggest tech companies to show them what it's like to work in a STEM career.
Among some of the things they'll do at SHETech: learn design from Adobe programmers, practice diamond-cutting with U.S. Synthetics engineers and build microchips with IM Flash. Girls from more than 100 schools are participating and 100 Utah tech companies are in attendance.
