(KUTV) Brooke was live from Jafflz in Park City. The new restaurant was started by Chef Meryl van der Merwe, who has been a private chef for the past two decades. Meryl wanted to bring retro, pocket sandwiches from her homeland of South Africa to Utah. The sandwiches are crustless and made on Jaffle irons. Flavors vary from South African lamb curry to macaroni and cheese. This is the first Jafflz location, but the brand has plans to expand globally with franchises.
