(KUTV) Today we’re talking about gestational diabetes and how your risks can go up if you don’t take care of it. Many women end up finding out they have gestational diabetes during pregnancy, but once they’ve had their baby they think that they don’t have to worry or think about it anymore. That is not the case.
Laurie Baksh with Maternal and Infant Health Program says women should go back for their post-partum visit and get tested again. She also gives some tips to reduce your risk for gestational diabetes.
