Al Romeo: Developmental Milestones
(KUTV) Having a baby is an exciting time for any parent and as your child grows, you should document each of their milestones.

Al Romeo from the Utah Department of Health joined us to talk about what developmental milestones parents should be on the lookout for.

There are many developmental milestones that parents should watch for in their child, beyond the usual walking and talking.

While there are a range of ages when children reach specific developmental milestones, parents should talk with their doctor (medical home) if they suspect any problems or have any questions.

Doctors will usually do formal screening to make sure children reach milestones, but parents often notice things or have concerns between those usual visits with the child's doctor.

The free Keepsake and Newsletters have details about milestones and child behaviors that can help parents keep their children on track to do their best when they reach school age.
