Plans Change For Those with Pre-Existing Conditions
(KUTV) Starting Monday, people with pre-existing conditions won’t be able to sign up for health coverage under a federally-run plan. The pre-existing condition insurance plan suspends new enrollments into its program, Saturday, until further notice.
PCIP was created as a transitional program ahead of the 2014 implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
More than 100,000 people nationwide enrolled in the program. For now, they will continue to be covered by the program.
