Growing Up Healthy and Fit
(KUTV) Utah kids are having fun when it comes to healthy choices. About 300 students at Syracuse Academy today participated in a performance that encourages kids to be healthy. The show is called: “Live Well – The 8 Healthy Habits.” There was humor and information to help kids take charge of growing up healthy and fit.
According to a release, Utah’s obesity rates are better than the national average. However, obesity is still a major concern, especially in Utah children. Experts say adolescents who are overweight or obese can face physical, social, psychological and emotional problems.
The Salt Lake Community College Grand Theater created the show in conjunction with Intermountain Healthcare.
