Arthritis and Exercise
(KUTV) The number one disability for Americans right now is arthritis. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 8 million people suffer from arthritis. There is no cure for arthritis. Experts say exercise can help with pain and can help prevent or prolong a person from having a total joint replacement surgery.
Physical therapists at The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Murray work with those who suffer from arthritis. They create a personalized exercise program that involves a lot of motion for the muscles and joints.
