Energy Drinks and Tooth Decay
(KUTV) Many sports and energy drinks claim to give you a lift, but they're also lifting something else, something that can't be replaced.
The drinks can take your teeth on an irreversible acid trip.
Doctors say if you do drink something other than water, use a straw. The straw will help keep the acid away from your teeth.
It should be noted, several years ago an Ohio State University study concluded that there is no relationship between the consumption of sports drinks and dental erosion.
