Will Dance for Kids: Peanut Butter Jam
(KUTV) The Will Dance for Kids Project is dedicated to raising funds for the Kid's Cafe and Backpack Programs at the Utah Food Bank through dance and dance competitions. This project of kids helping kids has been an exciting new concept in the dance community. Over 3,500 dancers have participated from 30 studios across the Wasatch Front in the past four years.
Since it's inception in 2012, $139,500 has been raised which translates into well over $1 million dollars in goods and services to the Utah Food Bank. Over 10,000 lbs of food has been collected which includes over 6,000 jars of peanut butter last year.
On Nov. 7, 2015 WDFKP will host The Peanut Butter Jamm , an All Styles Dance Battle and Battle Class for all ages to benefit the Backpack Program at the Utah Food Bank. 1 in 5 Utah kids doesn't know where their next meal will come from so the need is great.
