(KUTV) Disney's Planes movie is a big hit in a small town in central Utah. That's thanks in part to the lead character Dusty, a crop duster, making an appearance out front of the historic Casino Star Theatre in Gunnison. Creator Seth Hendrickson built Mater a few years back when the movie Cars came out and it was a bit hit.
He brought Mater back for the premiere of the new animated movie, but this time, created Dusty to join him, much to the delight of fans young and young at heart.
Dozens of people have been stopping along Gunnison's Main Street to take a picture with the plane and the tow truck. They will be there in front of the theatre through the movie's run there, ending August 22nd.
Hendricksen who's worked with his family business Hendrickson Construction in Gunnison built the plane with his own money and says he was happy to do it, hoping it would help the local theatre. For more information: casinostartheatre.com/.
