You’ve heard of cake-pops, but what about pie pops? Marcie Ballard drops by to show us a tasty recipe for cotton candy pie pops!
Cotton Candy Pie Pops
Ingredients: 1 9 inch Pillsbury Pie Crust (rolled out to 1/8 inch thickness)1 3.4 Oz. Jello Vanilla Pie Filling Mix 1 Duncan Hines Cotton Candy Frosting Flavor Mix1 cup milk3/4 cup heavy cream1 oz of white candy melts
Directions: 1.) Combine Jello Pie Filling, Cotton Candy Flavor Mix, milk and cream using a hand mixer. When the mixture becomes thick, place in refrigerator until ready to use.2.) Use flower cookie cutters to cut pie dough out. Take candy stick and cut out hole in each pie dough bottom. Place pie dough cut outs on upside down mini-cupcake paper cups. Mold pie dough onto paper cups. Place upside down dough bottoms, with paper cups still inside, onto to cookie sheet.3.) Bake pie dough cups at 350 degrees for 13-14 minutes, or until barely golden brown.4.) Remove pie cups from oven. Remove mini paper cups from insides and let pie cups cool. 5.) Melt white candy melts in microwave until smooth and liquidy. Dip tip of cotton candy stick into melted candy and attach to each upside down pie cup. Melted candy will harden and secure the stick to the pie cup, usually 15 minutes. 6.) Use something to hold the pie pops upright while decorating. Then add Cotton Candy cream mixture to a cake decorating bag. Use your favorite cake decorating tip and fill each pie pop with cotton candy cream.
