Whether it is 15 minutes of silence in the car or in between meetings, or 30 minutes before bed when everyone else is asleep, those quiet spaces are there. This is a time to breathe and let the body relax. It is amazing what one deep breath can do to soothe a stressed soul. In these spaces, women need to take “moment” and put their feet on the ground. They will find themselves refreshed, uplifted and ready for the next task.2) Fresh Air: Getting out and away from people is extremely healthy. Sit outside after dinner, have a glass of wine or take a 20 minute walk. Getting out into the fresh air without the phone, kids or any other relationship demanding her attention should be a daily practice. Women must be deliberate in letting those who need her know she needs to get out and enjoy her own company. Women must be pointed in holding and keeping those commitments. Fresh air has been proven to uplift mood and decrease stress.3) Movement/growth: Exercise, yoga, walking, hiking, running, dancing, gardening, whatever it is that makes a women feel alive and in touch with the earth, her soul and nature will instantly connect her to her life force energy within. Being in the flow of life, birth, growth and all things related to the spirit make women, women.4) Contemplation: Women are communicators, thinkers and analyzers. Whether we contemplate through meditation, reading, journaling, or art women are fulfilled when in the examination of the deeper recesses of life. This time is vital for inner peace and the deeper understanding women yearn for in life and love. It is intellectually stimulating, soothing and inspiring. Women are bearers of life. It is essential for women to be in contemplation of what is next for them to creatively bring into the world.5) Rest: Women are the ultimate multi-taskers in today’s world. Most of women work full time in demanding careers while also raising kids and having husbands/boyfriends. It is vital that women rest their bodies, their minds and souls. They need to get enough sleep and enough time to sit and relax without being responsible for something or something. Depression and anxiety are direct results from a lack of sleep increasing the feeling of overwhelm. Rest makes everything in life feel better and seem better.
