Dr. David Petron: Sports Concussion
(KUTV) School sports are in full swing, that means more kids are at risk for getting a concussion.
The C.D.C. says doctors treat as many as three million sports related concussions each year.
Dr. David Petron from the University Orthopedic Center joined us in studio to inform us on, what is a concussion?
What are the signs/symptoms?
Sensitivity to light
When to seek immediate medical attention?
Headaches that get worse and won't go away
Weakness, numbness or decreased coordination
Repeated vomiting or nausea
One pupil of the eye larger than the other
Convulsions or seizures
