Jason Hunzike M.D: Dangers of Being Sad
(KUTV) You've heard of the winter blues, but seasonal depression is a real thing.
Jason Hunziker is a psychiatrist from the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute joined us in studio to talk about the symptoms and some home remedies.
-Lack of energy
-Change in appetite
Sadness is worse in places with fewer daylight hours. Utah is north enough, plus fog & inversion account for sadness cases.
-Maintain a fairly consistent daily schedule.
-Be active as possible, and exercise in the morning.
-Use light therapy
