Inside The Story: Making the Impossible Possible
(KUTV) Elsha Stockseth has already accomplished a lot in her life. She
has illustrated books, ran marathons, and made a difference in the lives
of kids in Africa. These accomplishments become even more remarkable
when you consider her disability.

Elsha may appear as if she can
do very little; but nothing could be further from the truth. Elsha was
born with muscular dystrophy and over the years has lost the use of
everything but her head. Still this woman is doing more than most of us
ever accomplish.

Her mother Shanna Stockseth said. "They told me
she would live till about 5-years-old and that's it, and now she will
be 31 in August."

With the help of her mother, Elsha has learned
to use a head mouse to control her computer and is currently
illustrating a book. She is best known for her heart cards which she
sells all over the world.

Elsha and her mom are inseparable.
Shanna carries Elsha everywhere they go.  They mostly hang out in the
basement where you will find Elsha's amazing art work.

There is
something else about Elsha that's pretty amazing and it has to do with
Bono, the lead singer of U-2. "My dad says I'm the biggest U2 fan in the
world" said Elsha. Everything she owns and makes has something to do
with U2. In fact she's met Bono a half a dozen times while waiting for
hours outside concerts, and he now knows her by name.

Elsha is
also an accomplished marathon runner. John Moss is her legs and right
now the two are in training for the Utah Valley marathon. Jon said,
"It's going to be amazing no matter how we do. It's easier to push
myself and keep going knowing that she is with me."  Elsha has been in
about 20 races, her next goal is to be in a triathlon which means
getting pulled in a little raft for the swimming portion.

Elsha may only be able to move her head and weigh only 30 pounds, but that's not stopping this gal from living her dreams.
