Roof Collapse Kills Construction Worker
(KUTV) A man who was on top of an old Kmart building in Brigham City died after the roof collapsed.
Four independent contract construction workers were on the roof of the building at 950 South Main Street in a designated safe zone prepping the building for demolition. One of the workers left that safe zone, and the roof underneath him collapsed.
Emergency crews from the area flooded the building and searched for over an hour before they found his body. Crews determined he was killed in the fall.
Officials are unsure why the man left the safe area of the roof.
