Hostess Brands Officially Shutting Down
(KUTV) Hostess Brands will officially be shutting down.

Wednesday, a bankruptcy judge gave preliminary approval to liquidate the company.

The decision sets the stage for the company to start selling its assets to the highest bidders.

The move will likely cost 18,000 workers their jobs, including about 600 Utahns.

Mediation efforts were unable to produce a deal between the company and its second largest union.
