Dog Without Front Legs Cheers Up Patients
(KUTV) A Colorado couple is using their pups to bring a smile to people in need of cheering up.
Melissa and Ken Rogers have five dogs and a cat. The Rogers family tends to adopt pets with disabilities—one of which is Kandu the dog. His owners say the little guy’s attitude matches his name.
Kandu is missing his front legs and so is his friend Lucy, but that doesn’t stop them. They’re still very mobile.
Yet for as mobile as these dogs are, their owners believe therapy is necessary. They have built them devices to help them get around.
Now, twice a month Kandu or Lucy will visit the Yampa Valley Medical Center. Since they are better, they can make other’s feel better by showing them that if the dog can do it, they can too.
