Baby Born During Northeast Blizzard
(KUTV) With a statewide travel ban in effect during the mammoth blizzard that hit the Northeast this weekend, it took the help of the National Guard to ensure the safe deliver of a baby.
A Massachusetts woman went into labor Saturday, but emergency crews couldn't reach her because of the snowy roads and steep hill leading up to the couple's home.
So, the National Guard came in with snow plows and other all-terrain vehicles, to help EMT personnel reach the home. Their timing was perfect, they arrived just in time to help deliver a baby girl.
