HOLLADAY, Utah (KUTV) At Mary's Bridal in Holladay, Utah, owner Carol Diamse is scrambling. She is among countless others across the country who were blindsided when bridal dress designer Alfred Angelo for bankruptcy and shut its doors.

"I'm shocked. I was in shock for two days. I couldn't believe it,” she said. “There was no letter, no warning, no nothing."

There are still a lot of question about what happened to the famous dress-design company. What is clear is there are a lot of people being left in a lurch.

The bankruptcy filing is a massive 1,044 pages long. In it, the company estimates that they owe dresses or money to somewhere between 10,000 and 25,000 people.

(See a list below, with the story continued after the embedded pages.)

The type of filing suggests the company's assists will be sold off, at which point some of their jilted customers and other creditors could be repaid.

Get Gephardt was unsuccessful getting anyone from the Florida-based company to respond to calls or emails.

On the company's website, a statement reads, "Alfred Angelo filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy." The website also lists and email address for brides to contact to get their "order status once information is available."

Waiting for information is not always an option for a bride or bridesmaid with wedding dates looming.

Back here in Utah, Mary’s bridal alone says 24 women are directly impacted by the sudden closure.

Diamse is eating several thousand dollars, personally, to try and fulfill orders.

"I want it to be beautiful and wonderful and perfect for them, so I'm OK to take the loss. I'm OK. I just want people to be happy," she said.

If you're a bride or a bridesmaid who purchased an Alfred Angelo gown, ou do have a deadline to make your claim with the bankruptcy court: November 27, 2017.
