1 dead, 1 flown to hospital after crash on U.S. 89 near Bear Lake
UPDATE: The name of the man killed in the crash is 80-year-old Wilford Diedrich from Holladay, Utah. The driver was ejected and is in serious condition.
(KUTV) One person died after being ejected from a car and another was flown to a local hospital after a car accident near Bear Lake, Thursday afternoon according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
The crash happened a mile west of Garden City in Rich County, according to Rich County dispatchers.
UHP said the crash was a single-vehicle rollover on State Route 89. Two people were ejected from the unspecified vehicle.
It is not clear what caused the rollover and the identity of the people involved in the crash has not been identified.
There are no road closures in the area according the UHP.
