1 man dies in Zion National Park Wednesday
CORRECTION: KUTV incorrectly stated that two people had died at Zion National Park June 14. This story has been edited to reflect that one of those people had been transported to a hospital.
(KUTV) Zion National Park had a dangerous day Wednesday with one man dying, and another being transported to the hospital within the span of a few hours.
Crews were helping a hiker with a broken foot and as they were working on getting him off the trail, they received word of another man who had collapsed near Angels Landing. A nurse and EMT attempted to revive him with CPR but he died.
While crews worked to recover the man's body, there was another call of a collapsed man, this time near the Emerald Pools. He was taken to a hospital.
