Air support called in to help contain fire near Deer Creek Reservoir

(KUTV) – Fire crews are racing to contain a new wildfire that sparked near Deer Creek Reservoir Wednesday afternoon.

According to Utah Fire Info, the fire has burned approximately 100 acres and air support from the nearby Dollar Ridge Fire were being diverted to help contain the Deer Creek Fire.

Traffic camera video showed a large plume of smoke near U.S. Highway 189 around 12:30 p.m.
