UPDATE (6/15/18, 4:30 p.m.) -- Cinema Court fire is closed due to potential asbestos issues. No entry is permitted by order of the Utah Department of Health.

(KUTV) — "Extreme drought conditions" have prompted authorities to elevate fire restrictions throughout the Moab-Monticello Ranger District, the district said in a press release.

No open burning will be allowed in any area, including charcoal briquettes and any stoves using wood for fuel, the release states. Stoves using liquid fuel with on/off switches are allowed for cooking.

"Please use extreme caution when recreating on forest lands," authorities warned.
