Jazz injured forward Sefolosha suspended 5 games for drug violation
SALT LAKE CITY —
(KUTV) The NBA announced Utah Jazz player Thabo Sefolosha has been found to be in violation of the league's drug policy.
Sefolosha, currently injured and unable to play, will be suspended for five games without pay. Because of his injury, his suspension will begin when he is next physically able to play an NBA game, anticipated to be next season.
Dallas Mavericks player Nerlens Noel also violated the drug policy and his five-game suspension will begin tonight when the Mavs play the Portland Trail Blazers.
In January, Sefolosha elected to have season-ending knee surgery, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
