Layton man arrested after attacking cousin with power drill
(KUTV) — A 35-year-old man was arrested in Davis County after attacking a man with a drill, police say.
Christopher J. Gallegos tried to attack his cousin with a power tool on Feb. 1, according to court documents.
Police say Gallegos and his cousin arrived at the same time to his cousin's residence. Gallegos then blocked in his cousin's vehicle, got out of the car with a power drill and confronted his cousin.
Gallegos drilled holes in the rear tires of his cousin's vehicle and smashed out the driver's side window in an effort to attack his cousin with the drill, police say.
According to police, Gallegos said the altercation began because the two were trying to rent the same home.
Gallegos was booked into jail on a $5,000 bond for aggravated assault and criminal mischief.
