Local business, Build-a-Buddy, changes kids lives across the world
(KUTV)- Starting from small beginnings in 2006, Mike Hamilton created Build-a-Buddy, a special program for sick kids around the globe.
Build-a-Buddy travels to local hospitals and to Greece giving sick children a chance to make their own friend to take home after numerous surgeries.
Starting from something small, this company now serves thousands of children each year at local nonprofits like Shriner's Hospital, The Christmas Box House, and Care Cuts.
The kids are able to pick out their own animal, chose the clothes and fill it with the fluff to create their very special stuffed animal.
"You can donate now through the nonprofit Operations Kids to help fund the tireless work of Build-a-Buddy for kids in need locally and across the globe" says the organizations Facebook page.
Each $15 donation funds any animal with stuffing, outfit, wish star and certificate.
