Man carjacked, attacked, and dumped in Tooele County
Tooele, Utah —
(KUTV) A Utah man was carjacked, attacked, and left in Tooele County Tuesday evening.
According to Sgt. Jason Nielsen with Sandy Police Department, several juveniles carjacked a male victim in his 40s Tuesday evening around 9:30 p.m.
The incident initially happened near 9400 South and 700 East where the attackers drove around with the man for an hour, attacked him with a knife, and then left him on Interstate 80 in Tooele County.
According to police, a trooper found the victim around 1 a.m. walking down the highway.
Police have two suspects currently in custody, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, but are still searching for other suspects.
Sandy PD believe the suspects knew the victim, but police are not disclosing how.
The victim's identity has not been released, but had non-life threatening injuries and was treated and released by paramedics.
