One dead after officer-involved shooting in Roy
(KUTV) — One man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Roy late Tuesday night.
It happened at the Texaco gas station on 4395 South 1900 West just after 10 p.m.
Detectives say two police officers responded to reports of trespassing. Shortly after they arrived, shots were fired that killed the person.
No officers were injured, detectives said.
The convenience store was an hour from closing when the incident occurred. Police say people were in the store at the time it happened.
Surveillance video wasn't immediately available.
The Weber County Sheriff's Department will investigate the incident.
One southbound lane was closed for a short time, but has since reopened.
