(KUTV) Dylan Thornton, a 35-year-old middle school teacher, was killed Tuesday morning in a 4-car crash that took place on I-15.

The accident, which occurred on I-15 NB, caused severe delays in American Fork near Mile Marker 276.

Traffic reportedly slowed, and a flatbed glass truck came to a stop. A Mitsubishi behind it failed to slow.

The Mitsubishi swerved slightly, but still struck the right rear corner of the flatbed, causing fatal injuries to Thornton.

Four lanes on I-15 NB were closed for several hours. Seven vehicles were involved.

All other victims in the crash received no or minor injuries.
