(KUTV) Police took a "person of interest" into custody Tuesday they believe was involved in a murder on Sunday in Taylorsville, Utah.

Unified Police said they also served a search warrant at 1475 Gillespie Avenue in connection with the case.

The killing of Toussaint Tyler, 30, happened Sunday at 742 West Sunny River Road according to police, who released a surveillance photo asking for help locating a woman pictured.

Police said the a Hispanic man in his 20s and a black man in his 40s shot and killed Tyler. They were said to have driven away in a 1980s black convertible Ford Mustang.

Police say it was just after 10 a.m. on Sunday when police said a woman whose image was captured on surveillance video showed up at the apartment and knocked.

“As the occupants opened that door is when two male suspects rushed into that apartment,” Jared Richardson with UPD said.
