Pig wrestling could turn into assault charges at Utah County Fair
Spanish Fork, Utah —
(KUTV) Protesters stood outside the Utah County Fair Wednesday, speaking against the highly anticipated and controversial pig wrestling event in Spanish Fork.
The protesters, estimated at a dozen or less, were outnumbered by the 1,500 to 2,000 people in attendance to watch the annual event. The teams participating didn't feel that the activity hurt the animals but when some protesters stepped into the wrestling area, they were pushed and tossed over a fence. It is possible those actions will bring assault charges.
