UPDATE (8:24 p.m.) - Police in West Valley have released more information about today's arrest for a homicide that happened on January 10, 2007.
That's when Tri Xuan Phan was found beaten to death inside the Vui Vui Billiard Pool Hall, which he owned.
So what cracked the case for officers more than 11 years later?
That fingerprint, which was found at the initial crime scene was searched through a nationwide fingerprint identification database.

Nearly two years later on Thursday Nguyen was brought in for questioning and arrested for homicide and obstruction of justice.
The case remains actively under investigation. Police ask that anyone with information regarding this case please contact the West Valley City Police Department at 801-840-4000.
