Spanish Fork elementary school janitor arrested for reported sexual abuse
(KUTV)-A janitor at Sierra Bonita Elementary was arrested Tuesday on accusations of sexually abusing two male students.
According to Lt. Brandon Anderson with the Spanish Fork Police Department, Adrian Villar, was booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of two counts of sexual abuse of a child, both first-degree felonies.
Anderson said in Feb., an 8-year-old contacted police reporting that Villar took him into the bathroom and touched him inappropriately. At the time of the first accusation, police stated they did not have enough evidence to start an investigation.
After the 8-year-old came forward a second time, another boy told police Villar abused him in the school’s shed.
During the investigation, security footage showed Villa entered the same bathroom as the victim for a "brief period of time," Anderson said.
During an interview with police Villar denied the allegations, but was taken into custody on 2 counts of sexual abuse of a minor.
“Nebo School District is cooperating completely with law enforcement in this investigation … the employee was immediately put on administrative leave when Nebo was notified by law enforcement.”
