Students, driver injured in Juab County bus crash, SR 28 closed
(KUTV) A school bus crash, with students from Nephi and Levan, Utah, injured several students and a bus driver around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.
The crash happened on State Route 28, that serves as the road between the two cities. According to the Juab County Sheriff's Office, SR 28 will be closed for "several hours" and suggesting using Interstate 15 to get between the two cities as an alternate route.
The office also reported that the accident involved a truck pulling a trailer.
According to Rick Robins, the Juab School District superintendent, six elementary and junior high-aged students have minor injuries, the worst of which is a broken arm. The driver of the bus was taken to a hospital but his condition isn't yet known.
The remaining kids are being transported to their homes but there may be some delays according to Robins.
