Suspect found hiding in family’s RV after high speed chase
UPDATE: Police named the three Thursday evening. The suspects are David T. Madden, Greicce K. Salazar and Michael D. Stoltenberg.
(KUTV) Three suspects are in police custody after an intense police chase through Salt Lake County.
A two-hour search for the suspects ended when officers discovered one of the suspects hiding in a an RV parked in the driveway of a family’s home near 5550 South 2975 West.
West Valley City Police Lt. Steve Burke said the male suspect forced his way into the RV shortly after the vehicle stopped and the suspects bailed out of the car.
“We set up a containment really quick and were able to keep them in that containment,” West Valley City Police Lt. Steve Burke said.
Several Police K9s were searching the area eventually alerted on the RV, Lt. Burke said.
Officers made contact with the suspects inside the RV and ordered them out without incident.
Police identified one of the suspects as David Madden, 40, who they believed was armed. Madden, along with two other suspects are currently being questioned by detectives.
The chase started near the Salt Lake City Airport around 3:30 a.m.
