Why did Gov. Herbert use a power saw, blindfolded?
(KUTV) Gov. Herbert used a power saw blindfolded this morning? Why? As part of his tour of the Utah Office of Rehabilitation.
The office used to be under schools but was transferred to the executive branch after a legislative act.
Workers presented Gov. Herbert with a wooden light saber, made by a blind person at the center.
“I’m going to use this on the legislature,” Gov. Herbert joked.
Gov. Herbert had an initial woodworking lesson from instructor Ray Wright.
October is Disability Employment Awareness month.
