FBI says there is no evidence of underage human trafficking in SLC
(KUTV) Salt Lake City is found clean again after the FBI completed an operation spanning 106 cities in order to rescue underage prostitutes and catch the adults who are selling them into the sex trade.

Salt Lake City was one of only five cities this year where there were no underage prostitutes found. A similar operation was conducted last year with the same results for Utah.

Overall, 168 underage prostitutes were rescued and 281 suspects were arrested on suspicion of child trafficking.

Utah does have human trafficking. In St. George, Leroy Haley awaits sentencing after pleading guilty for bringing a 17-year-old girl over from Las Vegas for prostitution.

Social media and the internet are increasingly used for advertising these services.
