Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

1 1/2 C. flour
1 1/3 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 C. canned pumpkin
1 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. lowfat or nonfat buttermilk
1 T. canola oil
1/2 C. chocolate chips
Chocolate Glaze (optional)
1/4 C. chocolate chips
1 tsp. canola oil
1.) Preheat oven to 350. Spray a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a small bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
2.) In a large bowl, beat pumpkin, brown sugar, buttermilk, egg, and oil. Add dry mixture, stirring just until moistened; do not overmix. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour into pan.
3.) Bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 15 minutes.
4.) For chocolate glaze, combine chocolate chips and oil in small bowl. Microwave for 30-45 seconds until chips are melted. Stir. Drizzle over warm bread.
