(KUTV) Cold treats may not sound like the best choice for the winter, but these gourmet fruit and cream bars taste great anytime of the year!
Tiffany Tomkinson is the owner and creator of Lick'd Gourmet Fruit and Cream Bars and is here to share some of her interesting creations.
Christmas Pops Recipe
1 1/2 cups lemonade (hand squeezed or purchased)
1/2 cups raspberries
Sugar may be added to lemonade for preferred sweetness. Combine lemonade and raspberries leaving the raspberries partially intact.
1 1/2 cups limeade (hand squeezed or purchased)
3 cups whipped cream
Sugar may be added to limeade to accommodate preferred sweetness. Slowly add limeade to cream. For more intense color, add lime zest or a few drops of green food coloring.
1.) Pour a small amount of one colored mix into molds for a first layer, making it as thick as desired.
2.) Freeze until firm, 30 to 60 minutes.
3.) After adding the second layer insert sticks to the middle of the mold. Continue to pour as many layers as needed to fill each mold.
4.) When layer begins to set, after about 15 minutes, insert a wooden pop stick into each mold.
5.) Continue to freeze until firm; straighten stick as needed. Freeze until hard.
*Option: The red mixture may be added to cream as the green mixture is shown above. The green may also be used without the cream for dairy free pops.
