White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies

12 tablespoon butter
1¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract
¾ teaspoon baking powder
¾ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking soda
2¼ cup flour
2 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup dried cranberries
1.) Preheat oven to 375˚.
2.) Beat together room temperature butter with sugars until sugar is blended and mixture is fluffy.
3.) Add vanilla, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and egg-continue to beat until everything is well incorporated.
4.) Add flour and mix until dough comes together and everything is well incorporated. Stir in white chocolate chips and cranberries.
5.) Scoop cookies onto a cookie tray lined with parchment paper. Flatten slightly and bake for about 12 minutes or until edges are lightly brown (centers will not be set but will continue to cook after pulled from oven. ) Any longer than this and the cookie will have tough edges.
6.) Let cool for about 5 minutes on tray and then move to cooling rack.
